Prominent political leaders in Ondo State convened on Monday at the APC campaign office in Akure, under the platform of the Ondo APC Elders Movement. The gathering was organized to formally declare their endorsement and assure strong voter backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election.
The movement is led by Senator Olorunibe Farunkanmi, widely respected for his steadfast integrity.
Delegates from all 18 Local Government Areas of the state were present at this maiden meeting.
Alhaji Jamiu Ekungba, a key figure in the Tinubu project and a loyal supporter, highlighted the President’s achievements in just two years, citing landmark projects and reforms such as:
– The Lagos-Calabar Super Highway linking nine states
– The Student Loan Scheme, a major educational reform initiative
– Several other impactful programs credited to Tinubu’s administration
Other notable contributors at the event included Mrs. Kemi Iyantan (Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission), Hon. Jibayo Adeyeye, and Chief Magnus Araulene.
The endorsement by the Ondo APC Elders Movement is part of wider political mobilization efforts, further strengthening Tinubu’s support base in Ondo State, a key political stronghold.
