Dr. Jide Martins Adewinle has been officially sworn in as the Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State at the South West Development Commission (SWDC), pledging to deliver all-round development for the state and the region.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Rotunda Hall of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, brought together appointees of the South West Development Commission, North Central Development Commission (NCDC), and the South South Development Commission (SSDC).
In his acceptance remarks, Adewinle described his appointment as both a personal milestone and a collective triumph for the people of Ondo State and the South West. He assured that he would work tirelessly with his colleagues, federal stakeholders, and regional leaders to drive progress in line with the SWDC’s mandate.
“This appointment is a call to action to bridge developmental gaps, foster collaboration, and ignite a new wave of growth in the southwest,” he said. “I pledge to advance regional integration, drive economic prosperity, promote environmental sustainability, and strengthen social harmony.”
Adewinle also expressed gratitude to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, political leaders, and citizens at home and in the diaspora for their support and confidence. He further dedicated the achievement to his family, acknowledging their sacrifices.
The SWDC, established by the Federal Government, is tasked with promoting regional growth, infrastructure development, and socio-economic integration across the South West.
